Let’s take one giant leap for womankind
Some Interesting Stats
In the U.S., women-owned funds manage just 0.7% of capital. The number is the same for minority-owned firms. And it’s not due to poor performance.
Female-founded companies received just 2.1% of venture funds in 2021 and so far in 2022, down from a whopping 2.9% at its peak in 2013.
In 2021, only 6.2% of funds were managed entirely by women, versus 81.4% that were managed entirely by men.
Female-founded companies exit one year earlier and have faster-growing valuations than companies without women on their found team.
Companies with more diverse leadership teams report higher innovation revenue—45% of total revenue versus just 26%.
